Setting up multifactor authentication (MFA)

Multifactor authentication (MFA) is an extra layer of security for your Movio EQ account. We recommend you set it up to protect your account and your customers' data, but check with your IT department first for your company's policy on this.

  1. Install an authentication app, such as Google Authenticator, on your mobile or other device.
  2. In Movio EQ, click your profile name or image (bottom left).
  3. Click Edit profile.
  4. Toggle on Multi-factor authentication.
  5. Click Save.
  6. When the QR code appears, open your authentication app, and scan the code to add EQ to the app.
    1. See the instructions for your app on how to do this, as they will vary for different apps.
  7. Enter the one-time code that appears next to "movio-essentials" in your app in the form on the EQ website.
  8. Click Continue.
  9. Copy the recovery code, and keep it somewhere safe (for example, in a password manager).
  10. Click I have safely recorded this code.
  11. Click Continue.

MFA is now set up. Next time you sign into EQ, along with your email address and password, you'll be prompted to enter the one-time code from your authentication app.
