A trigger is an event that initiates a journey.
Some examples of triggers:
- Birthday
- New member sign-up
- Pre / post session time
- Defined period of time after a member last transacted
- Upcoming loyalty-level change
A journey only has one trigger, with rules and actions that determine the interactions with a member that follow that event.
You can add Audience conditions to a trigger to prevent fraud or members being overwhelmed with communications.
Note: You won't be able to change the purpose of a trigger once a journey has been deployed.
